“What’s it like to be a Navy Seal? What’s it like to push yourself harder than you ever have before? What’s it like to do something you never thought you could?
Welcome to the Wildwood Navy Seal Challenge. This grueling race will chew you up and spit you out, but, in the end, you’ll be begging for more. Starting with a half-mile ocean swim, competitors will be challenged right from the start to fight the wind and the waves as they dash out into the water and swim a box-course, essentially taking them all the way from one pier to another.
Then, upon exiting the water, teams will be required to race up to the transition area and accept their pipe. From then on, you will be required to run, crawl, climb, and trudge with this long, heavy, inconvenient burden. Teamwork and communication will be vital in completing the three-mile obstacle course, but, in the end, it will be worth every painstaking minute.
Why do I do the Navy Seal Challenge? Because I want to believe I have what it takes. Because I respect our armed forces and everything they’ve done for us. Because it’s one small way I can give back to the men and women who sacrificed it all. What about you? “
